ChristenUnie wil blijvers-lening

Tijdens de Hoogezand-Sappemeerster gemeenteraadvergadering van volgende week zal op initiatief van de ChristenUnie de motie blijvers-lening worden ingediend.

De lening is te vergelijken met de reeds bestaande starterslening. Daar kunnen aspirant huizenkopers een aanvullende lening aanvragen bij de gemeente, wanneer de banken afhaken. De blijvers-lening kan uitkomst bieden voor ouderen die hun woning levensloopbestendig willen maken.

De meeste oudere inwoners willen zelf graag zo lang mogelijk zelfstandig thuis blijven wonen, concludeert de ChristenUnie. Vanwege het scheiden van wonen en zorg wordt dat tegenwoordig vanuit de regering in Den Haag zelfs opgelegd, zolang er geen sprake is van een zware zorgvraag.

Om het zelfstandig thuis wonen langer mogelijk te maken zijn er dikwijls aanpassingen aan de woning nodig. Dat kan gaan om zowel grote als kleine ingrepen, zoals aanpassingen in de badkamer (veilige douche), bredere deuren, plaatsing van een traplift of het weghalen van drempels. Verder het realiseren van een slaapkamer op de begane grond. Banken bieden hiervoor vaak geen financiering aan als iemand ouder is.

ChristenUnie-fractievoorzitter Bert van Dijk: ,,Met de vergrijzing van de samenleving dient rekening te worden gehouden met een grotere vraag naar voor ouderen geschikte woningen. De motie roept het college op om naar voorbeeld van de starterslening de mogelijkheden naar een blijvers-lening te onderzoeken’’.

Of de motie het haalt, is nog onduidelijk. Volgens de ChristenUnie hebben de SP, D66 en GroenLinks hun ondersteuning van de motie al toegezegd, maar dat is nog net geen raadsmeerderheid.
